Synopsis

Tom Bain discovers that he must have something more than a fine record at football to provide for the needs of Peggy Dinsmore, the sister of his college chum. Riding up and down the grades on a railroad train gives Tom the idea of inventing a machine to bore tunnels through the hills. He interests local capital through his sales pitch, sells his machine with more talk, but the machine is a glorious failure. The president of the railroad company is so impressed with his gift of gab, however, that he gets a job as a salesman and is thus able to claim Peggy as his bride.
