Synopsis

Mary Thompson, a smalltown girl, ekes out an existence through the sale of home-baked cookies to Pat O'Day, owner of a local store. His daughter, Letty, is smitten by the metropolitan air of Hayden, a salesman, who gives Johnny Cousins, one of Mary's admirers, the addresses of Mazie and Sonia, two city girls. After meeting Bartlett, son of a biscuit king, Mary becomes interested in enlarging her business; Johnny then leaves for New York, where he models for Sonia, a Greenwich Village artist. Mary arrives but is estranged from Johnny over a misunderstanding. He later finds employment in the Bluebird Cookie Factory, where Mary and Bartlett have built up a thriving business; the lovers are reconciled, and Bartlett retires, leaving the business to them.
