Synopsis

Giulia, the daughter of a wine merchant, is loved by Tony Cafarelli, an agent for the dreaded secret society, the Camorra. Giulia goes to her lover Paola for protection, but when Tony kills him, she flees in terror. In Naples, she is adopted by La Farge, a French poet, who gives her an education and trains her for the stage. On the night of her debut, she meets the Duke De Chaumont, and the two fall deeply in love. Tony, however, finally traces her to Naples, kills La Farge and fights with De Chaumont. To protect her fiancé, Giulia claims that she loves Tony and returns home, only to discover that De Chaumont has preceded her. Tony dies from the wounds inflicted by De Chaumont during their struggle, leaving the young couple in peace.
