Synopsis

An extremely suspicious tightwad arrives in New York to verify that his nephew, Alberto Bazán, has invested the money entrusted to him in a legitimate business. Soon he discovers that all of the money has been invested in a theatrical agency. The uncle adapts rapidly to the new environment, however, and soon steals Alberto's fiancée. Alberto quickly recovers and ends up marrying his ex-stenographer, a shy, unassuming woman, who had never thought of marriage before.
