Synopsis
John Harlan has his son, Jack, shanghaied in the hope that a cruise aboard the Hellion will make a man of him. Jack finds a brutal crew led by Kilroy, the first mate; a loyal old salt in Peg-leg; a captain who only occasionally lapses into sobriety; and a single ray of sunshine in Diana Drake, the captain's daughter. The crew mutinies to gain possession of the Hellion 's cargo of gold, but Jack gamely allies himself with Drake to put down the rebellion and is rewarded with Diana's love.
