Synopsis
Under the watchful eye of Mrs. Copeley, who defends him from a horde of feminine admirers, wealthy young Reggie Copeley sees one woman at the beach whose attractiveness seems different from that of the others. He thus falls prey to the charms of Grace Sturdevant, many years his senior, though she manages to preserve her youth through beauty treatments. Grace is disturbed by the appearance of Helen, her daughter, and forces her to remain in the background, while she continues to entertain Reggie. But Reggie, by chance, saves Helen from drowning, and they soon fall in love. Grace is at first miserably unhappy but decides to forego her own welfare for the sake of the young lovers.
