Synopsis

Woodsman Gaston Olaf arrives in Havens Falls just in time to rescue Rose Havens from the unwelcome attentions of Lefty Red. Impressed by Olaf's performance, Dave Taggart, Red's employer, induces the lumberjack to become foreman of his lawless band of woodcutters. Unknown to Olaf, Taggart orders the men to cut a stand of lumber belonging to Rose. After the trees are felled, Olaf learns the truth and refuses to allow the men to move the logs. Slyly parrying Olaf's demand, Taggart purchases the ground from Rose and then arranges to rob the safe in which the money is kept. Olaf arrives and prevents the theft, rescues Rose from the clutches of Taggart and wins himself a bride.
