Synopsis

Maggie lures champion Regent Royal from his luxurious surroundings to her humble abode in an old barn, but he later ignores her attempts to see him; later a son, Pal, is born to Maggie, and she leaves him to find a "human." In a park, Pal meets Mary Kelly, a homeless orphan, and is later drawn to Regent Royal, who is walking with his master, John Livingston. When Mary is endangered saving a drowning child, John rescues her and takes her to his residence, to the disapproval of his mother, but Mary is permitted to stay. They fall in love; and though his family refuses to approve their marriage, John and Mary are married and obtain employment in an aristocratic home as chauffeur and housemaid. At a party given by their employers, John meets his former sweetheart, Cecile; and Mary, misunderstanding, leaves him and goes to live and work for a kindly doctor, where she has her child. Meanwhile, Pal, reunited with his mother, Maggie, reunites the couple, who are ultimately accepted by Mrs. Livingston.
