Synopsis

Salesman Warren Kent conceives of the idea of the "Unending Courtship," and convinces his bride Betty, after their honeymoon is spent in separate rooms at the Niagara Falls Hotel, that they should live separately and meet only on Wednesday evenings, as they did while courting. After Warren fails to secure a large order, his boss Randolph Graham, who disapproves of Warren's idea, fires him. When Warren finds a baby sock in Betty's workbasket, he assumes that she is pregnant and is inspired to make the sale. His boss reinstates him, but Warren subsequently learns that the sock is for the laundress' baby. Meanwhile, a fellow salesman comes to live with Warren, and Betty invites a friend, Ethel Goodwin, to share her flat. After Betty's mother, who also disapproves of their living situation, finds Warren mistakenly preparing for bed with Ethel, and Warren finds Betty in pajamas in the bedroom with his friend, Warren admits that his idea was all wrong.
