Synopsis
Celeste Hardin wants her brother Henry, a mayoral candidate and confirmed woman-hater, to marry her college friend Henrietta Downs. When he refuses, Celeste and Henrietta play a trick on him. Henrietta poses as escaped lunatic Myra Haynes. Meanwhile, after attending a political rally, the real Myra becomes convinced that Henry is her long-lost lover, whose name is also Henry, and she follows him home in order to shave off his beard. Rival politicians uncover the story, and police and doctors speed to the house. Henrietta confesses her motives to Henry, who now gladly succumbs to her charms. The scene switches to a motion picture studio, where a director is throwing a tantrum and the studio boss has agreed to come on the set to be choked by the leading man. Finally, the studio discovers a way to break the actor's contract.
