Synopsis
Young businessman Billy Kirkwood goes to New York for a vacation and meets Dorothy Calender, whom he escorts to a taxi because she is being followed. At her seaside resort, Billy discovers that she has a diamond necklace, which a thief has seen her take from a store, and that this man and his confederates have followed her. Billy recovers the necklace from these thieves after they have stolen it; he hides it in his room; but they again take the necklace and escape with it in a motor yacht. Billy overtakes the thieves and at gunpoint forces them to surrender the necklace and to return with him. Billy is arrested with the thieves; later, in Dorothy's bungalow, he learns that Dorothy had stolen her own necklace to raise money for Martin, her brother. After mutual explanations, Billy wins Dorothy.
