Synopsis

Pop O'Malley, a former actor now stage doorkeeper, takes a paternal interest in Eileen, a struggling young chorus girl, and takes her into his home. Larry Taylor, millionaire backer of the show, is attracted to Eileen, and against Pop's warnings and objections she falls in love with him. Pop overhears her accepting an invitation from Larry to a party at his summer home and follows her there. When she refuses his entreaties to leave with him, Pop slashes his wrist with a broken bottle, and to save his life Larry offers a transfusion of his own blood. Pop, recovering, is furious, but he relents when he learns that Larry plans to marry Eileen.
