Synopsis

Bill, a strong, silent stranger, joins a Wild West show and establishes himself as a hero by saving Ruth Gordon, the elephant girl, from a train fire. Pedro, the clown, is his only enemy. Norman Brackett, young oil millionaire and friend of Kearney, the show manager, wins Ruth's admiration, and she accepts his proposal. Norman recognizes Bill to be his brother, whom he swindled out of his oil lands during the war, but he is unaware that Bill has a confession, exposing his fraud, from a confederate of Norman's. When Norman feeds Ruth's elephant some tobacco, the elephant interrupts a marriage ceremony between Marian Kearney and Norman and then kills Norman. Bill explains Norman's treachery and confesses his love for Ruth, with whom he finds happiness.
