Brief Synopsis

David Sheldon owns a plantation in the Solomon Islands. Many of his field hands die of blackwater fever, and then he becomes sick himself. Joan Lackland, a female soldier of fortune, arrives by schooner in the islands. With the help of her Kanaka crew, she protects David from an attack by the natives who are led by Googomy. Joan nurses David back to health and becomes his business partner, protecting his mortgaged property from two avaricious moneylenders. Seeking vengeance, the moneylenders incite the natives to revolt.

Synopsis

David Sheldon, the owner of a plantation in the Solomon Islands, loses many of his field hands to blackwater fever, finally becoming ill himself. Joan Lackland, a distaff soldier of fortune, arrives by schooner in the islands and, with the help of her Kanaka crew, protects David from attack by natives under the leadership of Googomy. Joan nurses David back to health and goes into partnership with him, protecting his mortgaged property from two avaricious moneylenders. In order to revenge themselves, the moneylenders incite the natives to revolt. David's plantation is set afire, and Joan is kidnaped by the moneylenders and taken aboard their schooner. David saves Joan from the moneylenders, and she realizes that love is the greatest adventure of all.
