Synopsis
Unattractive Betty Boyd, a stenographer for broker Franklyn Collins, is admired by bookkeeper Billie Woods, though she secretly admires her employer. While taking dictation she overhears a market tip from a business associate; investing in the stock herself, she reaps a small fortune, and after a trip to the beauty experts, she is appropriately transformed. Against the advice of Billie, she continues to follow Collins' tips. Billie, jealous of Collins' attentions, reverses her investments, hoping to bring her to her senses through financial ruin, but the plan backfires and they both become wealthy. In desperation, he follows her to Collins' apartment, and there he saves the terrified Betty from Collins' advances and convinces her of his love.
