Synopsis
When his son, Hugh, elopes with the sister of his mistress, George Belmont breaks off with Laura Bailey, claiming a frameup. He attempts to buy off Sylvia and is murdered. Laura and "Slug" Gorman, a crook, are arrested on circumstantial evidence and convicted of the crime, but, at the last minute, Professor Gregorius, a fake spiritualist, is exposed as the assassin.
