Brief Synopsis

The ambitious police officer Cruchot is transferred to St. Tropez. He's struggling with persistent nude swimmers, but even more with his teenage daughter, who's trying to impress her rich friends by telling them her father was a millionaire and owned a yacht in the harbor. He gets drawn into it when he tries to cover for her when a friend 'lends' the car of her assumed father. It turns out that the real owners of the yacht aren't exactly what they pretend to be either...

Synopsis

Ludovic Cruchot, a strict disciplinarian who has recently been promoted to sergeant of the gendarmes, arrives with his daughter Nicole at the French resort of Saint-Tropez, where he soon finds himself dealing with the problems of tourists. He attempts to capture several elusive beach nudists, while Nicole deceives her new friends by pretending that her father is a millionaire yachtsman. She unknowingly becomes involved in the theft of a Rembrandt from the local museum, but Ludovic apprehends the crooks on their yacht and recovers the painting.
