Synopsis

"Bare-fisted" Gallagher arrives in the San Rafael valley to locate the Eagle mine left to him by his uncle. He is attracted to Jem Mason, a woman dressed in male attire, who shoots off his hat. Gallagher arouses the jealousy of Aliso Pete, the general store proprietor, and later Gallagher rescues Jem from Pete's sexual advances. Gallagher goes to settle matters after he learns that the Eagle mine belongs to Selby Mason. Gallagher also discovers that the bandit, whose trap he has set for that night, is Mason's daughter Jem. Attempting to avert a tragedy, Gallagher arrives just as the bandit is shot by Gallagher's agent. The bandit is Aliso Pete who has beaten Jem to the robbery in order to place the blame on Gallagher, who is now free to court Jem.
