Synopsis

Sylvia Morton, daughter of Henry Morton, a prominent banker, meets Buddy Miller and his pal, Romeo, and plots with them to kidnap her father and take him to a mountain cabin for an enforced rest, though he is on the brink of an important stock transaction. Morton's clerks appeal to Mrs. Morton to advise them whether they should hold or sell his steel stock, and Romeo discovers the plan without disclosing it to Morton. An inn clerk, overhearing the conversation, learns Morton's whereabouts and arranges to have him kidnaped and held for a large ransom. When Mrs. Morton receives a ransom note, she and Sylvia think that Buddy--who actually tracks down the bandits--has tricked them. Morton's rescue finds him a millionaire, and he retires to a life of camping and fishing. Buddy and Sylvia find happiness together.
