Synopsis
Zane Castleton goes west with his movie-struck pal, Hank Dooley, in a dilapidated Ford, but the car breaks down on a hill near Cactus, Arizona. Alice Hardy, a young ranchowner, offers to tow the car with her horse and is herself "dethroned" from the saddle. Zane drives her home. It develops that Dave Hardy, her newly appointed guardian, has conspired with Joe Slade to have Slade masquerade as Zane, whose late father was once half owner of the ranch; for Zane does not know that he will be joint owner if he marries Alice before she is 21. Alice is suspicious of Slade, who steals an agreement made between the former partners, and when she refuses his offer he kidnaps her. Zane intercepts the preacher and a bandit, taking the latter's place; Hank arrives with the sheriff, identifying Zane, and the bandits are captured. Alice agrees to marry the real Zane.
