Synopsis

Carmen, wife of Sunny Jim Ballantyne, a prospector, dissatisfied with life in the wilderness, defies her husband and attends a public dance with Flush Kirby, a gambler. Following a quarrel, she implores William Carson, an old flame, to take her east. Ballantyne battles with Kirby, then discovers that Carmen has disappeared and retreats to the desert where he forms a partnership with Carson in the goldfields. The two men are amiable until Jim finds that Carson offered his wife the shelter of his home; and returning to Yellow Jacket, Jim informs Carmen, now a dancehall girl, that he has set an explosion to kill Carson. She declares Carson is innocent, and although Carson is rescued, Jim is injured by the explosion but is later reconciled with Carmen.
