Synopsis
Tom Redding is deserted by all save Mary Austin when his apparently wealthy father dies and leaves only debts. Desperate, he goes west and successfully develops an oil well. With the aid of Billy Andrews, Tom returns home in the guise of poverty while a "Mr. Keane" buys up property. At a banquet Tom discloses his ruse and his engagement to Mary, while assuring the townspeople they may retain control of their businesses.
