Synopsis

In the little mining town of Mesquite lives Dave Saulter, a ne'er-do-well whose prime interests are Flash, his white horse, and Ann Winslow, who objects to his irresponsible ways. Ann agrees to attend a dance with Buck Hanna, but Dave playfully ensnares her partner just as he is about to commence the first dance. Buck plots to steal the local gold shipment entrusted to him; Dave, desperate for a job as guard, ties up a man and goes in his place. The coach is waylaid by Texas Jack and his gang, and Dave is knocked unconscious. Buck and his pals throw suspicion on Dave, but Oleson, a blundering Swede, accidentally finds the cache of gold. When Betty learns of Buck's guilt, he kidnaps her in a coach, but Dave follows and overpowers him, thus winning the reward and the girl.
