Synopsis
Jeff Decker, with the aid of Red Dog, an Indian leader, continually raids the town of Coldwater and plans to buy up all the horses while instigating a false rumor of a gold strike outside town. Fred Coulter, who unsuccessfully works a nearby mining claim, is hired to buy the horses. Decker, after concluding the deal, tries unsuccessfully to induce Ruth Browning, the niece of Aunt Agatha, owner of the lunchroom, to leave town with him. Fred learns from her of the falsity of the rumor and rides to inform the miners. To ward off an Indian attack, the remaining populace gathers in the general store. Silver King rides to warn Fred, and Fred cleverly sets them to rout. After a struggle with Decker, Fred falls into Ruth's waiting arms.
