Synopsis

Coot Cadigan, an Arizona cowpuncher, goes to San Francisco and gets to know Stuffy McGee, a petty crook who stages phony fights for the edification of tourists in Chinatown. A man is killed, and Coot is blamed for the crime. He hides out with Stuffy, but when the latter is arrested, Coot is forced to return to Arizona, taking the three little McGee children with him. Coot enters the Arizona Sweepstakes, on which the future of Colonel Savery's ranch depends. Coot wins the race, Savery's ranch is saved, and Nell Savery, the colonel's daughter, becomes Coot's partner for life. A telegram arrives and absolves Coot of all suspicion of guilt in the Chinatown murder.
