Synopsis

Sedgewick Blynn is a penniless "he vamp," the "idol of women and envy of men," who is determined to marry a wealthy society woman. One evening, he rescues a child from a fire and is pronounced a hero. Heiress Bessie Morgan, enamored of his heroics, promises to marry him, but at the last minute her father prevents the elopement. Soon after, Blynn receives a telegram informing him of his mother's death, and he comes to the realization that he has been leading a wasteful life.
