Synopsis
Keeping in mind that "Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for a friend" and his mother's admonition to watch over their younger son, David Darby keeps his brother, Ross, out of trouble while both are serving in the Northwest Mounted Police. When Ross is accused of the murder of "Slip" Martin, David takes the blame, but dancehall girl Mary Malcolm proves Ross's guilt. Ross is executed, and David marries Mary.
