Synopsis

The Haviland family, consisting of Pa, Ma, Jess, and little Dan, are traveling west, and they camp overnight near the town of Hambone. Bob Hardwick, rancher and owner of the Jupiter Pluvious Gambling Hall, compels them to leave but does rescue them from an impending flood. Later, Jess goes to the gambling hall with the family money, and Bob manipulates the game so that she wins heavily. Destin "sells" a ranch he does not own to Jess, and his gang stampede a herd of wild horses, causing the death of Pa Haviland. A vigilante committee headed by Bob and Curley determine to clean out the undesirables, and a bitter fight ensues. Destin wounds Bob in a robbery, but Bob overtakes him and is victorious in the struggle; he is duly united with Jess in marriage.
