Synopsis

In trouble at school and indulged by his mother, Bobby Allen is, at 8 years, a spoiled and willful child. Grown to 16, never reprimanded or punished, Bobby continues to be arrogant and lawless. When his mother buys him a Stutz Bearcat, he begins to lead a wild life, accompanied by Patsy Heath, an extravagant flapper neglected by her mother. Returning from a disreputable roadhouse one night, Bobby runs into a wagon and kills an old woman. He is tried and convicted of manslaughter in the first degree. His mother pleads with the judge to let her serve Bobby's term, arguing that her own indulgence was responsible for her son's conduct. Suddenly, the mother awakens and realizes that it was all a dream. She then gives Bobby (still age 8) a good spanking and makes him return to school to apologize for his poor conduct.
