Synopsis
In a small town in New York, David Ross, a young farmer, becomes entranced with Maida Vincent, a Broadway gold digger, as a result of her radio broadcasts; therefore, his granduncle, Henry Ableton, threatens to disinherit David, even if Mary Vaughn, a granddaughter, is not found within 6 months of his demise. Maida and Josie, ignorant of the situation, find Mary ill in the city and write to her grandfather, who, however, has since died. When Thomas, the surviving brother, arrives and finds Mary dead, he persuades Maida to impersonate her and claim the fortune. Maida falls in love with David and, discovering he is the alternate heir, confesses the deception, but David forgives her and they are married.
