Synopsis
Dr. John Hood dreams that he shoots and kills Canby, a gambler; awakened by a shot, he finds Canby dead in his living room. Hood escapes to the Northwest, and Sergeant McKenna of the Northwest Mounted is detailed to trail him. Hood saves McKenna from drowning, and the two men develop a strong friendship, each unaware of the other's identity. Hood saves Mary McKay, the factor's daughter, from a halfbreed, and they fall in love. McKenna finally takes his prisoner in, but Mary reveals that her brother slew Canby in a quarrel when the latter had made an appointment at Hood's house. Hood is exonerated and takes Mary for his wife.
