Synopsis
With the death of the last male in the Deane family, there is a temporary end to the Deane-McQuinn feud, waged for years in the Cumberland mountain district. The feud is renewed, however, when Claire Deane returns home from school and removes a sign and fence erected on her property by Wes McQuinn; she is aided in her struggle by Ranger, the Deane dog, and his wolf mate, Beauty. Wes plans to put an end to Ranger with his dog, Butch, but the McQuinn dog is killed by Ranger when he attacks Beauty. The McQuinns threaten Claire but are disarmed by Alan Haliday, a stranger. After a series of harrowing escapes, Ranger overtakes Brack, who has kidnaped Claire; and the stranger, who is a Federal agent, wins her love.
