Synopsis
After suddenly inheriting considerable wealth, Fred Colgate marries a resident of one of his tenements. Her roving eye and infidelity lead to Fred's departure and slow degradation, while his wife and friends think him dead. Eventually, Fred meets a fight trainer in Juarez, becomes a successful prizefighter, and falls in love with a former acquaintance, who has loved him for many years. An old friend finally recognizes him, and Fred is free to marry when his wife is killed by a jealous lover.
