Synopsis

In a country schoolyard in Colorado, Dare Rudd and Bate Fillmore quarrel over Nell Worstall, and their dispute culminates in a vicious fight. Years later, Dare, now a rugged cowpuncher, decides to return home and marry Nell but finds that the Worstall and Fillmore families have followed a mining boom to Eureka, Nevada. There he renews his old fight with Fillmore over a dancing girl known as Belle, but Jim Fallon turns up and ends the quarrel. Dare learns that Nell is living with his mother and that her father is in jail on a trumped-up charge made by the Fillmores; Dare gets him released, and Nell is abducted by Fillmore when she refuses to marry him. The miners, cheated by Fillmore, clash with his gang, and Nell escapes the clutches of Fillmore when his sweetheart, Belle, attacks him; a spectacular stagecoach crash ends the fight, and Dare is united with Nell.
