Synopsis

Believing that he has killed a man in a Canadian dockyard, Silent Morse hides from the law in the northwest snow country, where he rescues a stranger with a broken leg. The two become friends, but the stranger eventually reveals himself to be a Mounted Police officer (Kelly?) and arrests Morse, who has been blinded by a gunpowder explosion. Ruth, Morse's sweetheart, rescues the hero from a trapper sent by Captain Skag (who covets Ruth) to kill Morse. It develops that the Mountie, who has lost his memory, is really the man Morse is supposed to have killed. Morse is cleared, and faith restores his sight. (Reviews leave the sequence of these events in doubt.)
