Synopsis

Smilin' Sam Perry is threatened with legal action by Ezra Skinner if he fails to repay a loan. When Sam's money is stolen in a stage robbery, he tracks down "Dude" Dutton, who fits the bandit's description. Dutton agrees to teach Jim Morgan, an invalid, the sheep business, and he takes the boy and his sister, Milly, to a shack on Sam's property. When Sam calls at the shack, Dutton tries to abscond with the stolen money, but Milly shields Dutton from Sam for the sake of her brother, who she believes is implicated in the robbery. Sam moves the boy to Gulch City for medical treatment and lodges Milly in a hotel; he captures Dutton when he escapes with the loot, and Millie accepts Sam's proposal of marriage.
