Brief Synopsis

In this 10th film of PRC's "Lone Rider" series, crooked banker Masters (I. Stanford Jolley) learns from rancher Jeff Sloane (John Elliott) that he and his partner, Sourdough (Jimmy Aubrey), have discovered a gold mine. Masters has his henchman Blackie (Charles King) and his gang, kill Sourdough and take Sloane a prisoner to force him to reveal the location of the gold strike. After talking to Sloane's daughter, Amy (Patricia Knox), Tom is convinced that Masters is behind the killing and is also holding the old man a prisoner somewhere. Synopsis

Rancher Sloane and his friend Sourdough are on their way to meet their friend, U.S. Marshal Smoky Moore, who is working undercover, when they are ambushed by a gang led by Blackie, who wants to know the location of Sloane's secret gold strike. Blackie has Indian Pete murder Sourdough, and Sloane is taken hostage. Blackie then arrests Smoky for Sourdough's murder, but when Smoky's fellow marshals, Tom Cameron, also known as "The Lone Rider," and Fuzzy Jones, see him with the gang, they fire shots and help him escape. Banker Masters and the sheriff tell Sloane's daughter Amy about his disappearance and Sourdough's murder, but Masters, who is after Sloane's gold and is responsible for the kidnapping, implies that Tom is the outlaw. Tom and Smoky earn Amy's trust, but have to elude the sheriff as they are now both suspects in Sourdough's murder. Masters orders his gang to kill Tom, but Tom disarms them and convinces Blackie that he could get the mine location from Sloane. Fuzzy, meanwhile, tricks one of the dumber outlaws into revealing their hideout location, but when Tom and Smoky arrive at the Sloane ranch, Amy has left a note indicating that she is accompanying Masters to see her father. Using a homing pigeon, Fuzzy sends Tom and Smoky a note detailing the location of the hideout, and the posse follows them there. Amy is shocked to discover her father has been tortured. Before Masters can harm Amy, the marshals save her, and after a gunfight, the outlaws are arrested, and Smoky and Tom's innocence is proven.
