Synopsis
Graham, a detective pursuing James Callahan, a criminal, to the open seas is shanghaied by a smuggler and taken to a South Seas island, where he falls in love with Sylvia Douglas, the crook's sweetheart, while Callahan falls for Leona, a native girl. Murdock, the master crook, forces Graham to slave on the gang that hauls a sulfur train from a mine at the brink of the island's volcano. Eventually there is a showdown between Murdock and Graham; and after the latter saves Sylvia from a brutish captain, there is a volcanic eruption that devastates the entire island--with the exception of Sylvia and Graham, who are picked up by an American steamer.
