Synopsis
A film in four chapters that explores notions of home, memory and culture through the eyes of filmmaker Jonas Mekas: the first features Mekas' first years in America (1949-52), the second is from August 1971 in Lithuania, the third is set in Elmshorn, near Hamburg, where Mekas spent eight months in a forced labor camp and the fourth is set in Vienna (1971) with Peter Kubelka, Nitsch, Annette Michelson, and Ken Jacobs.
