Synopsis
Ondine, a homosexual married man, makes an attempt to prove his masculinity by picking up women and persuading them to undress while being interviewed. His initial subject, who he claims is the first woman he has ever desired, sits in a love seat and occasionally giggles. She refuses to remove her clothing, and Ondine throws her out of his room. The second, whom he manages to coax into a bed in his mother's apartment, insists on being paid for each item of apparel she removes. The third, whose back hurts, sits in a chair and accuses Ondine of wanting to torture her. After he listens to a guitarist who sings folk songs by the sea, Ondine witnesses a food-and-garbage orgy among nude, Spanish-speaking participants. He goes to a party at a beach house and there he tells of being violated as a youth. Finally, he returns to his home for a lesson in Indian wrestling from a nervous "college wrestler" he has picked up. Later, Ondine's wife barges in with friends; she sees the young man in his undershorts and accuses Ondine of indecent behavior.
