Synopsis
To circumvent global war the great powers devise rituals in which man's aggressive instincts are harnessed. At televised Peace Games sponsored by a spaghetti company, soldiers from many nations participate in deadly computerized war games. In Game 256, monitored by the Swedish army and supervised by a panel of international observers, an allied team of American and European contestants attempts to wrest the control room and computer from Chinese combatants. To this end the allies capture a Chinese female soldier. During a computer malfunction a British warrior falls in love with the prisoner and attempts to escape with her. Unknowingly, a radical French student, intent on sabotaging the system, reactivates the computer, and the panel executes the lovers.
