Synopsis
A documentary following the construction of a historic tracker organ, an organ which functions mechanically rather than electrically. Featured is organ builder Gene R. Bedient, as he travels from France, where he researched and designed the organ and the year-long construction of the instrument by his 10-person crew. Finally, the documentary looks at the finished product as it is installed piece-by-piece at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The program also features organ performances, and a look at other instruments crafted by Bedient.
