Synopsis
In 1960, 12-year-old Henry Sturbuck, the son of a doctor, strikes up a friendship with J.M., the town mechanic. Dr. Sturbuck, despite the objections of his wife, Maureen, arranges for Henry to work part-time during the summer for Cindy Wilder, owner of a local bar. There, Henry meets Cecil Running Bear, who takes Henry under his wing. When "The Misfits" comes to town to start filming, the visit triggers a series of events that alter all of their lives forever. Henry helps them learn that hope, friendship and love can make even the most unlikely dreams come true.
