Synopsis

26-year-old Timmy Dolan has always been overly dependent on his parents, Fay and Michael, for emotional and financial support. In an attempt to assert his independence, Timmy moves to Chicago and falls in love with Carolyn Blair, a controlling businesswoman. Although their relationship seems tempestuous at best, when Timmy announces his engagement to Carolyn, Fay and Michael grudgingly accept them as a couple. One night, Fay awakens with a premonition that something terrible has happened to Timmy. When she calls him in Chicago, Carolyn claims she hasn't seen him weeks. Fay begins a search for her son, issuing a missing persons report and questioning Timmy's coworkers, as well as Carolyn's assistant Jenny. Finally, Fay is forced to rely on Carolyn, her parents and her brother Kevin. As her frantic search continues, many details of Carolyn's story ring untrue and Fay begins to suspect that Timmy has been a victim of foul play. Inspired by actual events.
