Synopsis

Three stories based on objects left at the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. In "The Pencil Holder," a strict father in the military learns the true meaning of a father/son relationship after his young son befriends a dying soldier. In "The Badge," a young man goes to Vietnam to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and to serve his country. His grandmother gives him a family heirloom, a badge, as inspiration and hope for a safe return. While in Vietnam, he heroically puts his life on the line in an attempt to save his platoon. In "The Player," a cynical soldier learns a life lesson after he meets another soldier on his third tour of duty who selflessly wants to help his soldiers get home safely.
