Synopsis
A sociopathic killer named Wheeler is hired to go to a small town and kidnap retired oil millionaire William Phillips. Working with Wheeler on the job is a local named Slick who has a violent temper. The two are supposed to hold Phillips in a cabin for 48 hours while the ransom is delivered. While they are holding the man, Slick begins to have flashbacks of his traumatic childhood and Wheeler makes friends with the local sheriff. When Wheeler leave to buy some marijuana at the local pool hall, Phillips runs into the woods with Slick on his trail. While all of this is happening, Phillips' daughter is planning a party to announce her engagement to the man who arranged her father's abduction, and Wheeler arrives and talks his way into the party.
