Synopsis
The American dance form of tap is examined. Honi Coles discusses how the domination of the business by white people kept black dancers from making the money they deserved during the long time that it was racially divided. The Nicholas Brothers are interviewed, and the evolution of their style is seen in footage from different stages of the act's career. Modern recitals and practice work-outs show the training and skill necessary to master the art form of tap dancing.
