Synopsis
Continues the saga of Sarah, a New England woman who moved to the Midwest after answering an advertisment for a wife placed by a widowed father at the turn-of-the-century. It is now 1918 and Jacob's father, John, a man who abandoned his family years ago, wants to come home at the end of his life. Meanwhile, Sarah's life is threatened when she gets caught in a late-winter storm.
