In 1983, Randy and Vicki Weaver moved with their three children from Iowa to a remote hill in Northern Idaho, now known as Ruby Ridge. In early 1991, Randy Weaver was arrested on gun charges and released on bail until his court date a month later. He missed his court date and firmly refused to come off his mountain. The case was eventually turned over to the FBI and ATF. The events that followed would soon be known across the nation as one of the worst tragedies in the histories of these agencies. An initial firefight led to an 11-day standoff in which Vicki Weaver was killed and Randy and his son were shot. The program interviews Randy and his three remaining children as they lay out every detail of those days.
