Synopsis
Documentary examines the remains of an extinct civilization deep within the remote tropical forests of the Dominican Republic. The Tainos people flourished on the island for 3500 years before Christopher Columbus arrived in 1494. By 1564, they were gone. Four centuries later, archeologists discover remnants of their existence -- ceremonial artifacts in a spring more than 200 feet deep and pictographs painted by the Tainos on walls in a vast subterranean cave.
